The National Initiative for Smart Green Projects Participates in the Annual Meeting of Transformation Strategies towards a Green Economy
The National Initiative for Smart Green Projects participated in the Fifth Annual Forum for Transformation Strategies towards a Green Economy organized by CSR Egypt under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
The National Initiative for Smart Green Projects was launched under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and by a decision of the Prime Minister, and is implemented under the supervision of the Minister of Planning and Economic Development in cooperation with the relevant ministries, headed by Dr. national initiative.
During the forum, Ms. Nermin Sadek, Executive Director of the initiative, reviewed the goals and importance of the initiative as it is unprecedented globally, as it is being implemented in all governorates of the Republic with the participation of all groups with the aim of finding Egyptian solutions to the problems of climate change. Economic development, or the technical support provided to projects, in addition to providing financing and investment agencies to support these projects.
The Executive Director of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects also indicated that the period for submitting projects in the second round was extended until the first of September, in order to give more time to applicants to improve the submitted forms and achieve maximum benefit.
The forum witnessed the presentation of a number of winning projects in the first round of the initiative, the stages of progress and achievement, and the participation of their projects in the Climate Conference CoP27, including the green roads and eco-tourism project in the Qarun Nature Reserve in Fayoum, which was reviewed by Mr. Ehab Mahmoud Ibrahim, and Mr. Mohamed Abdulaziz Mohamed also reviewed Al-Demerdash, the Sustainable Agricultural Village Project in the New Valley Governorate, Dr. Wahad Samir Ahmed, the Scrap Bab Rizq Project in Cairo Governorate, Mr. Ataa Gad Al-Karim, the Egyptian Waste Bank Project in Luxor Governorate, and Professor / Mona Refaat Taman, a three-dimensional cutting design project for electronic waste recycling Alexandria Governorate, and Ms. Samar Said Moawad, Women of the Golden Hand Initiative in Fayoum Governorate.
